do Organic fruit and vegetables get waxed?
i know regular ones do to make them look better but im allergic to the stuff the wax it with so do all organic fruit and veg definately not get waxed?
The normal petroleum food grade "wax" used on the conventional veggies cannot be used on USDA Certified Organic produce.
On answerer stated that the wax is natural and on all veggies, no it is not.
Organic Produce could use something like bees wax on produce (very very expensive) but most is wax free which means they do not have as long a s shelf life. The wax keeps the fruit from respiring and losing its moisture
